Routsis Training Releases New Online Courses on Automation & Robotics for Scientific Molders

Routsis Training, the premier training provider for the plastics industry, announces the release of its new online training courses on Automation and Robotics for Scientific Molding.

Productivity, efficiency and labor savings are all justified benefits that a company of any size can experience when using the appropriate robotics and automation. The two new, full-length training programs produced by Routsis Training will provide participants with a solid understanding of the options and capabilities associated with the different types of automation and robotics available to plastics manufacturers.

Participants will be presented with critical safety and guarding considerations as well as how end-of-arm tooling can be used to streamline production within a cell. Robot configurations are covered in detail and include; sprue pickers, top-entry, side-entry and articulating robots.

“Take-out robots and automation are critical components of scientific molding to ensure process repeatability and product consistency.” says Andy Routsis, President of Routsis Training.

The new online courses, and all existing Routsis Training courses, are cross-platform and can be played using any web browser and on any tablet or smartphone.

New Online Courses from Routsis Training Educate Plant Personnel on 5S Methodology

Routsis Training, the premier training provider for the plastics industry, announces the release of five new online training courses, entitled The 5S System (Steps 1-5).

The 5S system is a workplace organization method that describes how to manage a work space for efficiency and effectiveness. The five steps – Sorting, Straightening, Sweeping, Standardizing and Sustaining – are covered in detail and will ensure that any work environment will be clean, organized, consistent, properly maintained and up to date.

Participants will learn the required practices and habits that the world’s most efficient molders perform on a daily basis to establish and preserve workplace organization. Each 'Production SkillSet' course is accompanied by a worksheet so that your employees can immediately integrate the 5S System into your plant.

“Cleanliness and organization are essential components of a highly profitable molding operation and customers demand proven systems in today’s competitive marketplace,” says Andy Routsis, President of Routsis Training.

The new online courses, and all existing Routsis Training courses, are cross-platform and can be played using any web browser and on any tablet or smartphone.

New Online Course from Routsis Training Teaches Proper Documentation for Scientific Injection Molding

Routsis Training, the premier training provider for the plastics industry, announces the release of Process Documentation for Scientific Molders, a new online training course that works on all platforms, web browsers, tablets, and smartphones, as do all Routsis courses.

“Although all of our Scientific Molding courses underscore the importance of documenting machine-independent process information, techs should also document and note changes when running any process,” says Andy Routsis, President of Routsis Training. “This comprehensive course allows them to do that. It covers the importance of proper documentation for both machine inputs and outputs, and the procedures for documenting and maintaining a Scientific Molding Process.”

Course participants will learn the definition of scientific process documentation, the differences between machine-dependent and machine-independent process documentation, how to document processes for hybrid machines, along with how to document barrel and recovery, 1st stage injection, 2nd stage packing, part cooling, and mold clamping.
